Can we survive technology? John von Neumann and the future
Sci-fi evening in honour of the Hungarian genius
Science, imagination, genius and humour are packed into one evening. In the spirit of John von Neumann's visionary article, sci-fi writers and students give creative fictive answers to the challenges of information technology, mathematics and nuclear physics and explore our chances of survival in the shadow of ecological crisis, war and pandemic. A round table discussion at the end of the evening focuses on the relationship between von Neumann and science fiction.
