In her recent work, Emese Kádár explores the relationship between virtual space and memory through the fragility of digital photographs and the internal introspection of the mourning process
The installation, which covers the entire space, deals with the fading of memories of our deceased loved ones. The shape of woven gravestones mixes with motifs of remembrance seen on social media; the profundity and slowness of hand weaving contrasts with the clichéd, unnuanced simplicity of emojis. The visuals of the exhibition evoke the trajectory of a video game. Still, this game is not without stakes but as full of struggles as real life with its losses and pain.
